Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) acknowledges that it has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.A collective effort among the financial aid, student services, marketing, and instructional staff was made to ensure students were informed of the CARES Act and to guide them through the application process. Marketing, student services, and instructional staff were primarily responsible for informing students about the availability of CARES grant funding. Students were required to complete a brief electronic application within a two-week application period from the date of notification to the deadline.
Financial Aid personnel were responsible for organizing the supporting documentation for review and approval by the Heads of School prior to distribution. Disbursements were completed by the Controller after confirming eligibility records were approved by each Head of School. Each AIE campus disbursed 100% of the first half of CARES funding to eligible students; providing equal payments to approved students. Payments will be made to students no less than 30 days from the end of the application period. The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) submits the following content endorsing the use of coronavirus relief aid at its Seattle, WA campus. Seattle Campus To support the education ecosystem in responding to the challenges of the coronavirus, the Seattle Campus has used a portion of its CARES funding on education technology and instructional materials. CARES funds were expended to prepare and respond to efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, planning for potential long-term campus closures, and management remote learning that provides the most conducive learning environment for students.
