Introduction to Game Design
What you will learn
This course has been designed to help develop the fundamental skills and knowledge to design games. Learners will be using the Unreal Engine, industry standard software used by game developers, to create a playable game prototype.
Learners will develop work that they can use towards their portfolio for entry into further study and as evidence of your skills and knowledge.
- Learn how to define and develop game mechanics.

Design games using the Unreal engine
This course uses the Unreal engine, a powerful and comprehensive suite of development tools used to create stunningly realistic games and immersive experiences. Developed by Epic Games, it has become an industry standard for game developers worldwide. Unreal Engine is available for free, making it accessible to developers from beginners to professionals.

- This program is delivered live online by AIE instructors. Participants join remotely using our virtual classroom software.

Software and Hardware Requirements
This course requires the use of the following software. Students undertaking this program on-campus can use AIE computer equipment with all the required software installed.
